I'll be back. The ambience is pleasant. The staff is friendly and attentive.

The junk shops live up to their name, the atmosphere was great. We have never seen anything like it. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good.

Service was impeccable. The hostess was sweet and attentive, she helped us pick local cuisine and what was good that day in the kitchen. She made sure we had a nice evening. There is a large selection of beers and schnapps. The food was all local and very nice, the pork shoulder especially was very tender and full of flavour. The price was beyond decent, so we left a good tip to compensate.

Good food, good price and amazing staff! Would recommend to anyone who wants to eat local classics

A truly unique and cozy restaurant in the heart of Nuremberg. One of the best places for traditional food in the city centre and a tremendously welcoming staff.

Very tasty venison goulash with spaetzle. For a Rhinelander, the sauerbraten is more of a roast with red wine sauce. But no less tasty! Just don't be mad. The whole thing was in a rustic and totally eccentric atmosphere. Very small rooms, a steep staircase and all of that in an old rustic decor. A real recommendation !!!!!

Seems like solid German good in a touristy area. It’s a bit hearty for me, but the atmosphere was good and we enjoyed our meals.

Super restaurant, very nice building and great staff. We were given a very warm welcome and that was the case all evening. The food is really delicious and so is the schnapps. Can 100% recommend it.

We had reserved for the girls' meeting, the reception was stressed, the service was nice and fast. Food was delicious, but after that two girls felt bad. Had diarrhea, were pale and had to be canceled. Since we ate the last time for breakfast, the mushroom pan with loin was probably not quite ok. Sauerbraten and junk steak top.

Excellent atmosphere and very pleasant to sit outside on this busy market plaza to watch people and time stroll by. A very, very polite waitress insured excellent service (it was a pleasure to talk to her). Mediocre German food aimed at tourists? Sadly, German culture is fading quickly, disappearing from the city. (Is it a political problem the German government won’t address and therefore maybe find a fix? A shame.) This establishment isn’t stopping the trend. High beer prices make me want to look around for less expensive.

As an answer (continuation of the evaluation of Yevheniia Ulrich) to the further unfriendliness of this restaurant operator, to the accusation that we did not reserve a table, although this WAS ENSURED by him and his colleague ON SITE, I send a confirmation of it (a screenshot). Such an organization of the company, if you can't even come to terms with who has ACTUALLY reserved a table with you, ensures that your company does not function according to this rule, which you have written yourself “successful companies in Germany work in an organized and structured manner” . So you can guess for yourself who is one of the “incompetent colleagues”, as you mentioned. You confirmed your NON-competence in your answer.

There were two of us in the junk shops, and everything worked out in advance. The service was very nice and attentive. The food was very good, we had chanterelles and sauerbraten, although I personally think the price of just under € 17.00 for the roast is expensive. I think the restaurant is more geared towards tourists. otherwise no complaints

In Nuremberg we wanted to go to one of the best German restaurants. As this restaurant has very good reviews, we decided to go for it. When we arrived we waited to be assigned a table. This was done by a very nice and friendly waitress within a few seconds. We sat down comfortably and a minute later we were approached in a very unfriendly way by the head of the restaurant: "Wait a minute, have you reserved a table?" When he ensured this from us, he pointed out to this poor waitress in front of all the guests on the terrace in a very unfriendly way that he was assigning the seats and not her, for which this waitress had to apologize in front of all the guests in front of him. After seeing how the staff is dealt with here, we wanted to leave the restaurant immediately (in this situation it is nothing wrong to point out to the waitress that there is a certain division of work, but it does not necessarily have to be in front of all guests and in this tone). When we were on the way to the exit, the "boss" asked us why we were leaving the restaurant as soon as we arrived. We explained our view of this situation to him, but unfortunately he showed no understanding for it, he said: “It is a pure operating instruction that his staff must follow”. Unfortunately, it is not clear to him that the staff can be made aware of the operating instructions in a friendly manner and not in front of all guests, which is a shame. As you can see in other reviews (answer from the owner), he probably can't handle the criticism: he confirmed this when he unfriendly "recommended" us at the end of our conversation what to look for. But we want to thank the nice and friendly waitress for a quick allocation of seats!

Ambience and service were great. Very comfortable to sit inside and the service was always present and not intrusive. The food was, in my opinion, too expensive for the quality that was on offer. The meat and mushrooms were okay with the meal. Spaetzle looked like from the supermarket (cheap quality), sauce was not balanced and there was no salt. Unfortunately, there is not a single draft beer, only from the bottle and that for prices per bottled beer as on draft (4.30 euros).

Quaint, lovingly furnished, cozy, very nice waitress and incredibly good regional cuisine. It was a recommendation of the hotel I was in and I can only say that I can recommend it without reservation. Addition to the COVID-19 pandemic: All rules and regulations known to me were adhered to in an exemplary manner. There was even a separate disinfectant for each usable table. ?

A very sweet and nice waitress served us! Food very good. The only thing I think the spaetzle were a finished product. So better eat dumplings! Schaufele was delicious. Potato salad top!

Really nice foods and friendly weiters

It started with the fact that you could reserve a place there via Google. We thought that was great as we were passing through Nuremberg with a toddler. When we arrived there, we were greeted very warmly. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating - especially child-friendly. The ambience is special and also makes this place a place worth visiting. We also liked the food and drinks.

The food and place was perfect. Patricio was very friendly and he explained us the menu in spanish. He recommend us the typical food from Nuremberg and also a good beer. Everything was delicious.

First address for a perfect hot stone steak! The meat quality has been TOP for years! Thanks to Michael and his colleague for a perfect evening !! These employees are Franconian open and direct, just as part of Nuremberg as the beautiful fountain. Formerly below the castle, now in the heart of Nuremberg not far from the main market.

Very cozy and the food was very good. While I'm not an expert in German cuisine, I have eaten enough to know what I like and what I don't. This was some of the best. Very out of the way, off the main drag. Really the insides are a must see. Went again recently, still great food and fun. The interior has some amazing relics that shouldn’t be missed.

Foods great but service is very poor. People working here will leave the restaurant to go smoke for 30 minutes. Forget your order and not pay attention to you when you need anything. Great place poor management and staff
